I'm sitting here at work bored and figured I'd post up a pick of my new winch all mounted up. I used a generic Jeep winch mount plate and 3x4 1/4 angle iron. The mount is similar to the DAP mount it just places the winch farther up between the frame rails. I also had to cut the hard line going to the passenger side of the tranny cooler and reroute it. It took some time, but I think it looks real clean and unlike the DAP mount my approach angle didn?t change any.

I have to finish up the wiring tonight. I?ll take some close ups with the grill off then.

New pics added.

Thanks,
Jim

That looks nice and clean. I'd like to see more pictures of the mounting process. It could be a good alternative for me with my DII. I'd like to keep it looking as stock as possible.

Looks good, but I'd move the plug for the winch controller. I hit stuff with my bumper, and that seems to be in a "contact area"... but I like the way you really tucked that thing inside the frame rails, nice job!

Here is a pic from the bottom. The winch basket is mounted via the two bumper bolts on each side, and then I drilled and tapped the frame and ran one bolt on each side from the bottom.

The way it's mounted you can't get get to the clutch so it can't be free spooled. I'll see if I can live with that if not I'll have to cut a notch in the grill.
