Looking for a clean, DD worthy DII. Looking for the right truck in good condition with good maintenance history. I don’t care about mods but a little bit of tasteful work is cool. I don’t put a lot of value on a ton of mods as I’m not interested in other years.

Message what you’ve got. Or email me at Michael AT loyalstricklin DOT com

conversely, I’m also looking at 13-16 LR4s. HD pack/low range required on any 14-16 model years

thanks,
Michael

whoaaaa look who's getting back in the game!

we’ll see! It’s proving a difficult search. Lost out on two great trucks by the skin of my teeth. Found some other great ones me hand ally but then there was rust. The search continues. Maybe Davis still has his and wants to sell??

Possibly. I sold mine too soon, just was needing the money. I think Robert still has a few as well as Tim. Robert said he sees my old DII rolling around Nashville occasionally. There is a guy up in Wilson county off 109 that sells them.

Found an 03 with a P38 4.6 in it and 170 degree inline thermostat. Also had a smaller radiator added into it in parallel. Flew to philly on Monday and drove it 900 miles home with no issues. Temps averaged 176* and Max was 183* climbing out of Knoxville about 5-6 miles uphill.
A few minor issues such as a repaired cowl, Roof needs a repaint and cruise control is intermittent but it’s a great truck so far. It’s a 91,000 mile Cali truck that has been in PA for one year. Zero rust. Very pleased so far.
It’s nicer than my older 04 for sure. I’m hoping that the Range Rover engine lasts a good long time, as it was rebuilt about 15k miles ago when it was pulled from an 80k mile rear-ended P38 with a ton of new parts: heads, valve job, new gaskets everywhere, oil pump, fan clutch, pulleys, crank sensor, abs pump, etc... Engine bay only looks a few years old to be honest. Anyways, my search is over. Thought I’d update. I’ll be daily driving this for as long as I can, and probably keeping it stock for a good while. It drives way nicer stock than I remembered.

Let’s see some pics of this second radiator configuration
I will try to get some soon. Pretty sure he came up with it on his own. Holds two extra quarts of coolant and mounts in front of the radiator with some brackets off the radiator support. It’s maybe 10”x 20” mounted vertically. It comes off the top hose on the drive side and empties Into the lower radiator hose so it is parallel to the main radiator, which he did replace with a Nissens unit as well.
