After flopping my 04 in August, Its been a long road with insurance and still going. But we're nearing the finish line and I need to start searching for a suitable replacement.

I have several options that basically fall into 3 categories.

1. Pull/reshape the body and replace all panels - so I need a Bonatti grey donor, near so cal or reasonably close so i can tow it home.

2. Body/frame swap using a better donor. I'd be looking for a good body/frame roller. NO dark green and must be in relatively decent condition for a body/frame swap, ie: no accidents etc. Red, Blue (light blue), Grey, Black White

3. A full parts swap of my stuff onto another D2. For this option, id want a low mileage car. Red, Blue (light blue), Grey, Black White. no green, maybe giverny but im gonna low ball on green. Not really into dark blue either. In this case id be looking for the unicorn and willing to blow some coin. MY truck has 83k on it, so in this case, id want same or less.

I'm open to other options. Really its a pretty wide field of acceptable vehicles and/or options, but i also have some no no's. NO GREEN I absolutely cant stand dark green cars. Super UGLY. No salvage title on option 3. Offroad parts are of no use/value to me so wont have much sales value. My truck is built the way I want it, so I don't need an ARB bumper or voyager roof rack.

I have cash (read cashiers check, pay pal, whatever works to get the deal done) - I may or may not ship or fly/drive/tow home depending on situation.

Grail colors would be Alveston or Icelandic.

I have an '04 and I'm almost ready to sell it as a parts vehicle (it used to belong to @Blue). It's got a good quarter panel (although the bottom is chopped) and both doors that you'll need. The body is in good shape overall as is the frame, etc. I'm in AZ, so not too far from Cali.

Also, I used to be a collision tech and I can give you some advice. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks, I'm only interested in a panel only situation if the color is the same. I don't want to have to paint.

Also it's 8 panels - hard to see in pics...Rfender, RFdoor, RRdoor, Rquarter, RRcorner, rear door, Lcorner, Lquarter

I have two so far...Lquarter and Lcorner

The doors and fender are pretty straight forward to replace. It doesn't look like you have much (if any) structural damage judging by the photo. I wouldn't even attempt to try to repair the quarter panel. It's beyond repair.

But, it would be possible (difficult) to get a used quarter panel if you could remove it yourself. It's a matter of buying a spot weld drill bit and carefully drilling out all of the spot welds on a donor vehicle, drilling out yours and spot welding the donor on.

And, scratch that. Just remembered these are aluminum quarter panels and they're bonded and bolted on which actually makes replacing them pretty simple.

Even the same color panels will probably be a slightly different color on a 17 year old vehicle

I'm not necessarily looking for show car quality matching panels I'm just saying that I don't want a quilt

This one is just for the panels so I can try to rebuild the rolled one. If I come across a unicorn, I'm still interested in a new buy

It took me about 1 year to find my D1. My wife wanted a red one which like most Rovers is not a popular color. And I wanted as close to stock / non rusted one. The stars aligned one day and saw it. If you keep searching you may have the same luck.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I have a bunch of saved searches, check the forums and car forums and thinking about hiring a car broker.

I really would like an Icelandic blue. Alveston red would be good too. Maybe an 03 Monte Carlo
