Thanks! I have actually registered and am now driving it. Last thing to be resolved is getting the cruise control parts to finish hooking that up.

Thanks, I searched high and low and found an NOS Mantec in the box. Painted it AA Yellow to match the truck

What elbow are you using on the filter canister?

and is that the hella battery disconnect I see off to the side?

The elbow immediately behind the air filter is disco 200Tdi, I needed it to clear the brake master, all because I didn’t the 300Tdi air box and Mantec raised air intake combination. The air cleaner is a Defender 300Tdi.

The battery shut off is a Durite, they call it the “Great Value Battery Isolator”. It has a removable key. I am going to finish installing it when I mount my Husky 8 later this fall.

Are you going to try to keep the XD brushguard with the husky or do something else?

I don’t really know. For the Husky tray I have, I need to section the center out of the front bumper. I’d like to have some sort of brush bar, I just don’t know if they will all fit together

Theres a couple versions of the husky tray out there. At least some of the “official” ones had 1/8” spacers between the tray and bumper. I think that could be enough to work if you removed it

you can kind of see it behind the frame rail in the pic

I am running a set of 5.50x16 factory steel wheels, I think they are RRC5036 defender tubeless steel wheels. I mounted 7.50R16 BFG KM3 tires on it. They are a bit bigger than they say, measuring out to about 32” tall and a little over 8” wide.

i have finally been shaking down the truck this year and I need to do a little fender trimming because the rears rub a little when you slam down over an obstacle while fully loaded.

I have a new frame mount for the Husky that I need to section the front bumper for. It fits between the frame rails, tucking back far enough that I’ll need to trim the bottom of the grille.

I know some people don’t like it, but I am fitting a full safety devices expedition cage this winter. It has the full height cargo divider in back.

The 300Tdi has been good, I get about 420 miles on a full (factory) tank. And except for shredding a couple belts, it is a lot of fun. I had to align the pulleys on the PS pump and the tensioner for the main belt, and the tensioner for the ac belt was also a little out of alignment.
It has a boost pin but is otherwise stock.

The AC is really good and around town works awesome. With the AC on on the highway at 70-75 on the flats it is fine but on a long grade the temp climbs. If you cruise at 65, it doesn’t have a problem. A/C off, the temp never changes even when cruising around 80.

Dave, what air filter assembly/hoses did you use?
I ll have to double check but I think it was a Defender 300Tid air filter canister with the 300Tdi intake hose. To clear the brake master I used the outlet from a Discovery 200TDI air box. The 90 bend is a silicone hose from Pegasus Racing.
