Anyone done it? It looks really fun and I've never stayed in one. I came across a page about glamping (what it is called I guess) and there are sites where you can find places to glamp like a bed and breakfast!

Some friends of mine rent out a yurt on their 12-acre farm on Lopez Island. I stayed up there last summer. It's a great way to enjoy a rustic experience if you don't want to do the whole tent camping thing. This particular spot is right on the edge of the woods and is close to all the wonderful natural attractions of Lopez Island. Send me a PM if you want their contact info and I'll put you in touch.

actually considered trying yurts this year...checked them out last summer at a local state park. they're actually really nice. could cut down on the crap i'd need to haul along. they're basically just a glorified (in this case) round cottage.

Does this qualify as a Yurt?
