Time for a little preventative maintnance. I havnt' broken anything in the last 3 or 4 trips out so i am concerned that the truck is starting to feel neglected. Iron Chest here I come. Nothing will stop me from getting to the top....as long as I can get past the first 1/4 mile. Anyone in?

I know my skill level, and Iron Chest is out of my league at present time. Plus I don't know if an unlocked truck can do the first section. But thanks for the invite!

Sorry,

I am on call that weekend.

Not to mention that I need to get sliders prior to attempting that one : )

Sure could have used a pair of sliders in carnage canyon a few weeks ago.

Note to self:
Buy or make sliders soon!

You can probably count me out this weekend. Got a big project coming up on Tuesday. Unless I can rid my self of this nasty, uncontrollable habit called procrastination, I doubt I can do it. What kind of drive is it from Denver anyways?

Ok....I am starting to see a priority problem here. We got people that are on call and other people that have projects to do. HHHHMMM.....Here is what I am thinking...If you break down up there and are never able to get back to civilization you won't have to worry about that priority problem anymore.

Chu... It is probably about a 2 or 2 1/2 hrs.

Brian,

let's face it, we're just scared of the flakes coming our way. Once those little guys start ganging up on you, it's all over! :)

Dave, I'd say sliders come in handy at Carnage. I tried running Lefthand, but took a wrong turn and ended up on Carnage. You guys did well to make it out clean without sliders.

Brian, Sorry for the delayed responce. I just finally got my DSL back...Damn Qwest!!

Well, just saw it today and I have made plans already and I don't know if Iron Chest would be trail for me. I here it is very brutal.

Anyone have pictures for me of the Red Cone trip? Now that I have my DSL back I am going to be sending some to Ho.

Brian, you have mail!

Yup....Iron chest is a tough one. I think it is rated a 9. I've done it twice before...the first time we only got about 1/4 mile into it before a jeep broke his rear drive shaft and I broke my left rear axle. Second time got to the top but on the way back down I broke my ft diff. It is one of those type of trails that I have to beat. The goal for this sunday is no damage.

If anyone is interested in wheeling tomarow....we are going to check out iron chest first but I expect it to be snowed in. As an alternate we will hit China mans gultch. That is a fairly easy trail...probably rated a 5 or a 6. Let me know if you would like to come. blfsales@cs.com
