Mid-Dec. might work for me, but more likely late January or Feb. I will contact USFS there to find out about winter closings.

I'm up for anything. Keep us posted on your findings of the closings. We have a place north of Knoxville here called Windrock, and that looks to be fun as well. If Tellico is closed down when we decide to get together, perhaps we can head up to Windrock.

I'm in.. Date doesn't really matter but, it will be a drive for me so I'm hoping that this isn't going to be just a day trip.

Enoch, I think Kyle just does two trips a year, one out west and another to Canada so he is probably going to spend the next 6 months getting ready for his trip to Canada. At least I think it was two trips maybe just one and he changes between the two every year. What about Gore Kyle? That's closer to home.

Either way, what ever date works for everyone I will try to make work for me too. Late Feb and March is a no go for me cause my wife is due March 3rd and she'd kill me if I wasn't here.

Can probably run Gore sometime in the near future. Just need to get a few things done for other people first.

Well, I'm out until early next year. Too much family stuff planned, especially with the holidays around the corner. I'm not familiar with the Tellico schedule either, but Feb, Mar, or Apr would probably be good.

The wife and I are planning a trip out west in early spring(late Apr thru May). Taking two weeks to drive out to G. Canyon, up to Salt Lake, spending a day in Moab (I know, but it's all I could get!), and then taking the scenic route back to NC.

Plus, my in-laws will be with us. Anyway, I really would like to hit Tellico before I head out west, so please keep me informed.

well eric, that's because i had to drive to kyles house to reverse engineer the damn drawings.

the olny KVT creation that was seen on my truck was a set of jack all studs, it's high time i unveil the range rover but it aint quite ready yet, and it's kyles fault :)

Gore sounds good to me as well. Less than three hours for me, vs. 8 to Tellico. Tellico would have to be a long range plan, after the first of the year.

Mike-
Gore is outside of Winchester. It's a private campground, that sponsors 4WD Big Dogs events. I think basically if it's just a few people you can wheel there if you're camping. A bunch of people and we'd need a guide from them.
I talked to them once about bringing some rover people there (they laughed at me, damn them!) and they said to call. If we get a trip together here, we can figure out how many trucks, and I can give them a call.

You boys considering Tellico in Jan or Feb, if the trails are open, you going to camp? Damn cold up there in the winter (Rocky Mountain and Cananadian fans pipe down, I don't give a crap how cold it gets there) time. Save it up for the first trip in May (SOLAROS group). Or go in the next couple of weekends.
