Frank,
I live in Washington DC but my girlfriend is from Albany, NY so I send a lot of time there. Her parents are from Watertown so I go there evert so often too.

If you ever do a run in the Albany area I'd be up for it as long as it's not TOO extreme. I live in NW CT and have an '85 RR and a 74 SIII. I'm willing to travel a couple of hours for a day run but overnight events a hard to get away for (I work weekends). I've been on the Foundation Trail a bit south of Albany but from what I've recently read it would appear that that trail has been closed to motorized vehicles. This weekend's Jeep Rover Summit sounds like it would fit te bill for you. "That Road" as the NEOW likes to call it, is probably not much more than an hour from Albany. I think there are going to be a lot more Jeeps than Rovers so if you could make it this weekend it would be great!

I would love to go to the Rover/Jeep summit trip. North Adams is really close but I will be out of town.

There is a trail off exit 16 of 87 North about 20 miles outside of Albany. The trail is only about two miles from 87 n and it is legal, (New York State Motor vehicle trail.) (Turn left off ex 16 ramp and drive about two miles until you see Woddard Rd. Make left on Woodard rd and offroading starts where road ends.) Trail about 4 or 5 miles of good offroading. There are some other trails in Harrisonburg, New York. Trails are pretty good but but not that long. All trails are legal.

Carl, thanks for the info. Maybe we should try to get something going the end of the month. Before there's too much snow on the ground. It sounds like these trails are convenient for NY, MA, VT and NW CT. There's got to be more than a few Rover owners out there looking for a good run.

There are a lot of 4 wd trails listed on the New York State DeLorme Atlas. Good stuff for offroading. Thats how I found the legal offroading trails.

Hey dude, loose the caps!

No one is answering because you have obnoxiously loaded EVERY thread in the NY/NJ area with your shouting and begging!

Who are you and what do you drive and why should we feel comfortable that you know what you're doing? You came out of no where....

Oh, and Merry Christmas!
