Doing chinaman's gultch this sunday if anyone wants to hit a trail. trail is fairly easy and stock vehicles can do this. there is one section of the trail that if you are not careful you may scrape a tree but the right line will get you through. I dont anticipate mjuch snow up there but even if there is the trail should still be doable.

Tail head is near salida. I will be meeting some people her in the springs, potentially picking sean and his d90 in florrisant and if denver people want to come we could meet at the gas station in salida. post, e-mail or call if you would like to go.

800 636 9199 w. friday and saturday during the day I will be at work.

Brian, I would like to come. Don't know if I can yet, but I looked it up and on 4x4trails.net they rate it as a 7. The photos they had showed alot of large rocks. During the summer I would go no problem. During the winter with snow...I don't know.

Eric,

Yeah 4x4 rates it a 7 but I think it is overrated. It really is not a bad trail. The trail can be run as an out and back or straight through. There are some rocks that would make nice challange but they do not have to be run. I talked to Sean last night and he said there is no snow up there so it should be a great day. Hope to see you.

I would love to make this, but will not be able to.

Any plans for the 8th? I might also be able to do the 11th.

All right I am in; I can't resist the challenge!

Brian,

I am not going to be able to make it, 4 hours each way plus the trail would make for a long day. Maybe I will need to plan on coming down on a Saturday night sometime and staying in a hotel so I can run some trails with you.

I have a bunch of time off in December but I was thinking about going to Moab, maybe I will make a trip to the springs and run some trails instead.

How long does Chinaman's gulch take normally? Are any of the trails around you open the last week of December?

Brian it is the same way you do any clipart.

\clipart {skull} but with out the space (I had to add so it did'nt make the skull and stayed letters).

Check out this page. It has all the available clipart you can add and how to do it.

Dave,

The trail is about 1 1/ hrs depending on all kinds of factors. I think it is about 4 mmiles long. Does it take 4 hours to get to salida from Ft Collins?

If you want you can swing down and stay at my house. Got an extra couch and a few extra beers.

All,
The trail head is in Johnson Village which is 3 miles East of Buena Vista. Salida is another 45 min south. From Denver I would think the trip would take 1.5 hours on 285. Hope to see you in the morning.
