Hitting the trail this coming wed. if anyone wants to go. It will probably be my last trip before the new year. Weather should be good. Don't know the area going to hit yet but Left hand canyon area is fairly clear of snow and so is chinaman's area. I can go either direction if someone has a trail they want to hit. Wouldn't mind doing some snow bashing either as long as it is not an off camber type trail.

Eric...

Go get your copy of Pink Floyyd "the wall" and that should advise you of what to do.

Brian,

I wish I could, but I have to save my vacation time for the shutdown at Christmas :(

Are you going to be in Colorado between 12/20/2002 and 1/5/2003?

If you do come down this way what is the chance of you bringing the brush guard :) I have some time off and some metal in the garage calling my name.

Eric,

Trust me, it is worth going just to watch Brian :)

Ask him about the big rut he tried to straddle, oh and that freaking crazy hill.

Looks like I am building a few DII rear bumpers, let me know when you want to build one for your disco, in the mean time start looking at the mounting locations and think about what you want it to look like. Maybe snap a few pics of the stock mounting locations and send them to me.

Eric,

"he is a total freaking maniac"

Damn, man you just made me spit mountain dew all over my keyboard!

Did Brian D tell you about that hill we went down last weekend? that thing was fricking steep!!!! We thought for sure the first guy that went down it in a jeep was going to do an endo and end up on his roof.

Ya, he told me. He said Leonard's both back tires came off the ground and he had to give it some gas to correct, bouncing all over the place. Of course it was explained alittle different; we had already had 4-5 beers a peice.

Brian, thanks for the CD of pics from Chinaman. Brian D. gave it to me last night.

Brian,
As much as I would love to go with you I can't.
As you have so well documented in photos my D90 seems to suffer some sort of mechanical breakdown each and every time you and I go wheeling. I would be irresponsable to risk another incident and hold you up on the trail. I hope in time I will be able to correct this chronic problem so that I may someday be able to keep up. Wish me luck!

P.S Nice pics in the gallery

Sean,

And everyone else that has to work that day....One bit of advice....for monday...go in with the,"I don't feel real good" statement. Then cough a bit, spend lots of time snorting and in the bathroom. Talk about how you have been the last one hit with the virous and that the rest of the family is real sick. Make sure that you point out who has ben sick lately and that the virous is going around.

Follow step one: "damm boss...I don;t feel so well, hope I don't get everyone sick."

This is your prep. statement. This is the statement that will get you promoted. Remember, the organization is bigger than you.

By tues. you should be very subdued. Everything should iritate you and the simplest task becomes a chore. cough a bit more, remember that it is very difficult to work when you are sick and point out the sacrifice that you are making for the good of the company.

By now it is tues. night. Avoid going out. Remember....you are on a mission. Make sure you go home while everyone else goes to the bar, and make sure you point that out. A good statement is, "I wish I could go but I don't feel good good right now, as a matter of fact I feel like chit, and I want to feel good for the day ahead." Remember that proper english is not a good thing right now, you are not feeling well, and the last thing on your mind is speakng properly.

You have laid the groundwork.

Feel free to call in sick on wed. because nobody else ever does. Remember that you are trying to save the organization. Point out that you don;t want everybody getting what you have, and with a little bit of rest you will probably feel good and have beaten the virous by thursday morning.
That will make you a hero.

by thurs you will be feeling well again and the virous has had little effect on you. One again you can contribute like you always have but without hte risk of anyone getting what you just, with determitation and pure will, just got over.

BAM... You are a hero. You have saved the organization from the flue and you only had to spend one day away from work, and it was a wedensday, very little work gets done on that day anyway.

If that is not incentive, I don't know what is. Spend the day wheeling and come back as a hero!

Chu,

I don't think I have any of the lights left on the rear bumper, and it does look much worse in person. Those pics. are kind of old. Lots more damage since then.

If I was your boss I would be very proud that you are using a wed. constructively.

If I in fact don't have a job on Wed. then I also work with a guy who has a 88 Jeep cherokee with a pretty good set up that may want to go as well. I'll call you tomorrow and let you know for sure.

Dave,

I will be going out of town on dec 24 - 1/1/03 but I can put it in my front yard and you can come buy and pick it up. I will be in aurora on chistmass eve...maybe I can meet you then.

Did you prep. your boss today with, "I don't feel well" statements?

No need to leave it in the yard, I can get it another time if that is ok with you.

I will be off up to the 5th so maybe sometime between the 2nd - 5th.

Chu,

My mom and sister live in aurora, and I will be there on 12/24 sometime after 3:00pm and I will be buzzing around the area and in denver until probably around 11:00pm. I'm sure we can find a way to make this work.
