Does anyone know the current status of these two canyons. They are north of I-10 and enter southern Monunment boundary. They were listed in the Draft Management plan as possibly reopening. The ranger station didn't give me a definite answer. The ranger that I spoke with said that they are only aware of Berdoo and Pinkham Canyons, since they are shown on the Park map. She also volunteered that there was no bolting in wilderness areas. Darn I guess I can't use my air powered hammer drill to rap bolt a new sport route complete with winch anchors. |
