I plan on running this with some people next month. I feel good about the set up on my truck (i.e. lift, tires, other protection) , but I have one concern. Do I need sliders? Just curious about peoples experiences on this trail are. |

I had an RTE 2inch lift and ARB bull bar with 245/70 tires and made it without any damage. I took my time and had no sliders. |

James, put OME springs in there and you have my truck. I was hoping to run it without sliders, I want to invest in a winch before bigger tires and sliders. But peace of mind that comes from those sliders might be nice. What about strengthing up the steering area. I am relocating my steering damper this weekend, but what about putting on stronger tie rods and drag link? Would any of those parts be extra helpful in running this trail? I will be going with rover guys who have run it before, actually I'll be the only one who hasn't run it yet. I always drive carefully and don't abuse my truck, hiking is great, but hiking because you broke your truck by not being careful isn't fun. I realize shit happens. I'm just looking for any words of advice, thanks for any input. |
