Anyone know of any good trails in WV, maybe somewhere around Beckley?

Will, not sure about trails around Beckley. I may be able to help though, I will be spending the next two weeks in Beckley. I can ask around about off highway trails in the area.

Unfortunatly due to the mileage that I will be driving over then next two weeks, I will not be bringing the Disco with me.

After spending my two weeks in Beckley WV, all I could find out is that anyone who off roads does it because they have to for work (i.e gas lines, coal mines)

Anyone else that had a vehicle that looked like it was capable for off road that I asked, didn't off road.

will,

check in with the folks at wildwater unlimited (rafting co). they are climbers and if i recall a few have them have offroad interest as well. been running the new with them for 10 or 12 years-they know the area really well. steve runs the place.
there are also some great spots in monongohela and george washington parks, further east, near slatyfork on US 219. there are some fire roads going off just south of "town" that offer some great wheeling and camping.
cheers,
carl

I know the Hummer club runs over there some, but I don't know where they go. They stay in Beckley at the Country Inn. There is some old Coal Mining land over there that was going to be made public. Peabody Coal Mining Co. owned it I think. It may have been in Montgomery. It would been neat to get in on some of the old mining roads.

I heard about the Hummer club, when ever I stay in Beckley I stay at the Country Inn. I got to hear all about them from the staff. But nobody seemed to know where they went off roading.
