Just to update anyone who might be headed that direction... The trail is open and is in good shape most of the way through. We were there on Sunday (all day...long story) before the snow. Unfortunately, the last leg of the trip, where the AT crosses, was solid ice tracks down the mountain. I would recommend turning around before that point (we started at Massies Mill and went up) or get ready to slide down..... Otherwise, it's still fun!  |
