Go to lake Monroe and drive into the National forest. Drive down some gravel roads. A bunch of them turn pretty shitty.

Alexa, as soon as I get my disco ready I'll be down there. We should hook up. I am in the process right now of swapping all my parts from my 94 Disco to my 99. I have all my parts lined up but am waiting to get the radius arms back from the person that picked up the truck. Once I get those, I'll be set. I'm thinking about going down there Memorial Day weekend. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Steve and Alexa, if you all happen to go anywhere, let me know. I am out of school on may 5th. I just don't want to drive during school since we have finals and I don't want to drive from the natti.

Be very carefull on the roads in the HNF, especially near Monroe. The road everyone thinks of as very difficult is known as Combs, but that isn't the real name. I will get it for you later.

The reason for my "fair warning" is because the roads are heavily patrolled by Conservation Officers. If you stray off the road by even a foot they are known to issue very heavy citations. "How can they tell" you may ask. In my case, they were watching us from above in an airplane. We were on our d-sport machines and they were actually tracking some 4wds.

I highly suggest getting a HNF map that has all of the open roads listed so you don't get in trouble.

Also, if you want a place to go wheel, Redbird State Riding Area is only about 2 hours max from Shoals. Check out http://www.redbirdsra.com for more info.

I may put on another rally in the Nashville area soon. If you are interested, shoot me an e-mail.

B.K.

I know all about the Conservation Police. I should knock on wood, but I have actually never seen them out there. From my understanding, and it may be wrong, you can not go than more than 50 feet off the road. That doesn't mean they won't bust you for making new trails on the side of the road. Combs road is also called the road to Elkinsville. I would like to try Redbird.

Howboucha Alexa! Redbird is open now.

Tyler, what were you driving? I was there on Saturday. Since I resigned from the management group, I have been going every other Saturday. It's nice being able to enjoy myself now!

A group of LR owners from the Chicago area will be at Redbird Saturday.

Oh, I wish it was a 50' rule. Not sure exactly what it is but on "Combs" its anything off of the road.

I heard from my boss (owns 200 acres about a mile from combs rd) that brownie bridge road is closed. Is this true?
