Last big trip of the year before the snow fall. Going to do Holly Cross. The goal is to get up Clevland Rock abvove the city. I would rate the trail at about a 6 until you get to the river. At the river crossing to get up the rock it is probably a skill level of about 8. The rest of the way to the city is back to about a 6t again. The rock however, I think it is about a 9. I am determined to get up the rock...hopefully under my own power. Last time I was at the trail I didn't have the oportunity to try the rock but it has been calling my name. More details on meeting time as the week goes. e-mail or post if you are interested. Brian Friend [email protected] |

Survived Holly Cross. Had a great time. The We had a Cherokee, Wrangler, 74 Bronco, 95 Disco, 97 Disco. Everyone was locked with 6" or more lift and 33 or bigger tyres except the Discos. Mine was locked but the 95 was fully stock except fo tyres and ome hd and it did very, very well. We all made it off the montain and everyone got home. Do real damage. Was a great day. Hope to do it again. bty....had to turn around at the rock because we got into a full fledged snow storm. |
