Blake, I live in Montgomery and I haven't found much around central Alabama. I've been up to Wetumpka to Chubbehatchee Creek but it was just a flat sandy creek with knee deep water. I ran into a lot of 4-wheelers who were surprised to see me down there but it was kind of boring. I've also made several trips up to Talladega National Forest but have only found forestry service roads that are not challenging. There are alot of roads that run through the forest but I have only had time to try about six or seven at the southern part near Sylacauga. If you don't already have one, you might want to get a DeLorme atlas and gazetteer of Alabama(you can find them at book stores or at some gas stations that sell maps) and start looking for places around Auburn and just go see what's out there. And if you find something let me know. Dave 89 RRC |
