Anyone up for a run on Windrock Oct. 25? I'm busy every other weekend and it's killing my Rover not to see dirt.

Just remembered I have tickets to the Comedy Central show in Louisville on that weekend. Guess I won't be going to Windrock then. Possibly on Sunday though?

Sunday would be fine with me. I just got booked for a late night gig on Friday so I won't get much sleep that night. What about you, Zach?

Hey all, I fairly recently moved to Cleveland, TN and if a stock disco 1 can make it through any of these trails, then I'm game.

Zach- were you telling me about these places before?

Sunday would work better for me, too...I have been missing a shit-ton of work on Saturdays and my boss is starting to notice...just let me know. Hopefully my bumper will be finished by the end of next week, so everything will be great on The Rover. Steven, I did mention these places to you--if you want to convoy up, we can definitely do that. BTW, ever get your oil changed?

I ended up going to a quicki place and pacing like an expectant father. I hate going there and I get reeeeaaaal nervous at those places.

But yea, if you want to convoy that works.

My question remains; can a stocker can make it?

A stocker can make it on quite a few trails, but anticipate some minor damage to the front bumper if you haven't trimmed it off yet. Also, it would be beneficial for you to at least have A/T tires if it's wet at all up there. Hope to see you guys on the 26th.. Adios.>RS

Several months ago I took my stock D2 on those trails. I enjoy them much more with the lift (G).

After looking at your profile though I think you'll be fine. Just plan to put the bumpers on the ground a few times.

Steven, you will do fine stock on most of trails up there. You might need a tug here or there if it is wet and be sure to get some help from spotters if you don't have any underbody protection.

Also, do you have any recovery points Steven? I'd be for getting at least a reciever shackle for the rear, and some Jate Rings for the front in case we need to tug ya..

Robert,

Front air dam is gone and endcaps trimmed, but still riding on old XPC's.

I've got 2 Jate Rings that I haven't installed yet. I have a LR brush bar, and was told that if I can expand the Jates, I can use them in the holes where one set of bolts are for the brush bar. Otherwise I can install 1 right away. I also have receiver shackle, recovery strap, 4 ton come-along, etc. With a stock vehicle I have to be prepared.

Took a look at pics in the Photo Gallery, and I think if go I'll just leave my tow straps connected the whole trip ;-)

David, I'll be going, just as long as nothing is broken. I past a D1 earlier today over on Parkside/Peters Rd, black, lifted, MTs, $G bumper the best I could tell.. never seen him before. He pulled into Dicks, I was in Jill's Rover and was on a mission thus I didnt' stop. Any idea who he is? Not often you see a lifted Disco here in the land of cappacinos.. Adios.>RS

No problem Steven,
Where abouts are you at in Cleveland? I've been working down there most every day for the past 2 months.. following that pipeline going in the ground if you've noticed that. Adios..RS

I'm basically at Ocoee and Blyth Ferry and work in the sprawling downtown area. Are you talking about Frontage Road going parallel with 75?

I Thought about seeing what was going on there some night or weekend.

We recently bought 4 acres off Frontage Road about 2 mile north of Paul Huff. I was worried that the pipeline was gonna go straight thru my property. I've seen some of the other people's property it has effected. But we're ok.:-)

Steven,
Sorry to keep you waiting on the post--I've been in Nashville (fall break...did the "meet the parents" thing with this girl). Yes, I'm going, and yes, I'd love to convoy up there with you. What time should we be up there, Robert? Also, I'll need more directions (I lost the others in the move). Let me know ASAP--probably would be better to email me (MOUNTENN@aol.com) because I check that more often than this BBS.

Best-
Zach

Zach -
Whenver a time is set, let me know when/where you want to meet up.

Rob,

I just saw the post about the lifted D1. Was it red? I see a red one downtown pretty often. I have no idea who the driver is, but she's more than welcome to ride with us Sunday.

I also see someone who looks a lot like her in a white Defender from time to time.
