Any rover owners are invited to attend this large family oriented event on the island. Plenty of good fishing and beach fun. See www.texasrovers.com for info.

Wow, we lived on Padre when I was like 5 or something. We had to run from Hurricane Allen. Say hi from the Walkers to Tom Whitehead if he's still doing the helicopter rides down there.

Hey, I lived there when I was 12 and we ran from Hurricane Allen too. Pretty cool. It changed the whole island.

This weekend March 26-28th is our second trip to Big Shell. For those that missed it last year or have never been I can't explain what you are missing. This trip started the ball rolling for Texas Rovers in San Antonio. As usual this is open to the entire family. For those bringing kiddos make sure you have plenty of sunscreen and juice boxes. We have a very large group going this year. Land Rover San Antonio is our sponsor for this trip so I give a big thanks to them. They have sponsored brisket, ribs, sides, drinks etc for Saturday. I am expecting to feed 150 people with 40+ vehicles in attendance. Most of the group is leaving Saturday morning. I will be down Thursday with a few others. Adrian can lead a group down Friday. Ron is leading a large group Saturday. The camp site will be at approximately the 38mm. We will not be past the 40. Fishing should be very good so bring your poles. Spoons, shrimp, fishbites and cut mullet or whiting is the optimal baits. Jack Fish, Redfish and Black Drum will be plentiful. There have been some Spanish Mackrel and Sheephead caught. Several people are bringing kayaks to drop large baits out for some shark. I will have two tables, grilling stoves, generator, lights, shower (you provide the H2O), enclosed toilet area, volleyball net, horse shoes and tarps. I look forward to seeing everyone out there. It is going to be a blast! For departure questions please email the following:
