Tellico= You better have a HD set-up, because you will be on the gas hard, if you run the cool stuff. But, Tellico, in my opinion, will become a "Poster Child" in the future, so run it while you can.

Uwharrie= just fun, muddy trails.

Thanks Will, I'm not a big mud fan - I don't like it as much and cost too damn much at the car wash. But I do see a lot of people paint their rigs brown with mud and drive em' to work the next day like a trophy. lol

Solaros is doing Tellico that weekend.

And either way you go you will probably have to drop some coin at the car wash. But you may have more than that to do after coming back from Tellico. :-)

I hear that Aaron! We are already committed to Uwharrie. Hopefully there will be another Tellico event this summer.

Randy, Aaron, etc.

Solaros scheduled a club ride to Tellico the same weekend of Uhwarrie Safari. It is a club ride and in no way intended to compete with the Uhwarrie rally which is open to the public.

Next year we at Solaros will have to schedule our Tellico trip around Uhwarrie Safari. I will be at Tellico this year but hopefully Uhwarrie next year. There are about 10 Solaros members who are going to Uhwarrie this year but hopefully we will have more make the trek next year as we hope to avoid the scheduling conflict next year.

Thanks for that Robb, you are always good at keeping us all informed! Is there any chance that your group will do another Tellico run later this year? Our group is looking to make a trip there this year, wouldn't hurt to have some local knowledge available if you know what I mean!

Aaron/Randy/All,

I was thinking maybe in August we could just spread the word about a weekend for Land Rovers at Tellico. There is a great campground about 15-20 down Trail #1 from all the good trails called Crawford's Campground. Their website is www.crawfordsattellico.com. Check it out. The amenities are great for an off-roader.

The only thing you have to make sure of though is that there are not other groups that are planning an event that weekend at Tellico because if so it becomes a traffic jam. Events like a Jeep Jamboree will make you want to avoid Tellico on a particular weekend.

I was going to try and determine which weekends in August (or even July) were good weekends and then post it on Dweb and have everybody make their own reservation at Crawford's. This would not be club-sponsored (with all the hoopla that goes along with that) just a gathering of Land Rovers.

Any takers?

Robb, depending on which weekend it is, I'm in, and I suspect a bunch of PhillyRovers will be too. I informed them today, will let you know.

Aaron, we'll keep you posted too.
