1997 willow green disco for sale. 84K miles, arb bull bar, new BFG's, tan Leather, CD changer, dual roofs. Rust Free original Colorado vehicle. Just had $650 dealer service done. Weather proof disco seat covers on rear seat (to protect against the baby :-) ). Not a dent or ding in it. Very well taken care of. Will try to post photo's tomorrow. Would like to get close to $9K. Have over $12K in it in past year including purchase. Don't think that it has ever seen much off road as still has factory mud flaps and only had one previous owner which was a corporate vehicle with regular service done. Wife wants a new car. Sad eh? Will deliver for free within 300 miles of Denver.

Will be offered here for one more week before it goes to e-bay. Bought the wife a new PT Cruiser so the Disco must go. Would rather sell here and make a donation to D-web. You guys have been very helpful!

I am game. I don't care what the interior looks like.

Give me a page at 801-339-1580 on Friday. I may be able to meet you in Glenwood Springs or Parachute this weekend for pickup.

Thanks,

Curtis

Blue - shame on you for not telling me about his rig :-)

I'd like to know how he managed to get the engine so clean? I want to clean mine, but I've heard about people developing problems afterwards.

Nice rig,

Matt

yeah steam cleanin engines give you all kinds of problems. at least it did with mine. Messed with the mass air flow sensor. As long as it's workin i'd leave it. looks better with dried mud :-).

I will try to get interior pics out today. But it is pretty much perfect. Front seats have very minor wear, but no rips or tears. There is a small crack in the passenger side exhaust manifold, but it doesn't make any noise. It needs nothing else to be perfect.

Jeff - your truck sounds very nice, but I have gone a different direction. I just picked up my totalled short-roof 00'DS2 today and will be combining the running parts on it with a D1 or RRC that needs running parts.

Thanks though - if anyone is interested, this truck sounds sweet and is certainly priced right.

If you can believe it, this vehicle is for sale again. Andy did come to Colorado and buy it. On his way home to Oregon, it stranded him in Rawlins Wyoming. He stopped for fuel and it would not start. Very long story, but I drove up there with my Dodge and trailer and loaded it up and brought Andy and his father back to Denver through a white out snow storm. He decided to go ahead and fly home and continue his search for a new rover and not wait for repairs. I brought it to a Rover dealer hear in Denver and they told me that there was no fuel pressure and wanted $900 to replace the pump and filter. Yea right, I knew this not to be true so I went and picked it up and brought it home. I told them that there was fuel and no spark. Anyhow, just in case, I put in a new pump myself. Of course no start. Land Rover agreed to check again at no charge. Sure enough as I figured, there was a multi function relay out under the hood. I wish that I found that! Anyhow, I had them replace that and all is well with the Disco, runs better than ever. I think that there cannot be anything possibly wrong with this Disco any longer. I just wanted to get everything out on the table. I'm still really sorry to Andy that this happened to him on his way home, but all is good with us. Andy and his father are great people and I hope to visit them someday in Oregon. I think that this Rover wants to stay here in Colorado. Anyhow, I wanted to offer it hear again before I truely put it on E-bay this time. My wife loves her new PT Cruiser and so it must go. Sorry for the long story.

Jeff,
I talked to you about this Disco just before Andy did. I was not ready to buy just yet, but was glad my friend Andy was able to get it. Too bad that didn't work out, but Andy found one and I am now looking for one again. I am still intrested in you truck. How much are you asking now ?
Just e-mail me directly dbingham@bendcable.com
Andy says the truck is in great shape and I am sure if he had not been stranded in a snow storm he would have kept it.

David and to whom it may concern. this is a great rig. The breakdown was a fluke relay incident probably 1 in a million. If your interseted let me tell you, i drove it for 4 hours on the interstate and loved it. solid, quite and very clean. the only reason i didn't stay to wait for repairs was because i was on a tight time frame and had to get back home for an important meeting and to take care of my wife who just had shoulder sugery. Jeff is the most honest person i've met. I bought a 95 that came up in Bend so I'm out of the market but would highly recomend this vehicle.
