I'm a machinist and have made some spring spacers for classic/Disco I, I'm thinking of making a run of Disco II spacers, is there anybody interested in this, if there is enough people i will do it, if you want to see the style you can see pics of my old classic at www.homepage.mac.com/bwstolpa you can see the spacers in some of the pics, if you have any questions please email me direct at Bwstolpa@nc.rr.com, as I rarely get onto these pages anymore.
thanks
brian

Craig, I will chime in here. I talked to him last night and he was thinking around $300. I think he is from N. Carolina.

Alan, I cant tell whether you are being sarcastic or not, but I personally thought that was expensive, esp. when you can get them from EE for $65 a pair.

You can buy them from EE, rovertym, etc. for much much less or just make some yourself for $10. Not rocket science, $300 for spacers is insane, I just hate it when people post crap like that thinking we are that stupid and wasting dweb's space. You could even buy 4 new springs for that price. Now if there were gold or chrome plated I might then be interested.

FYI check your prices, suspensionspacers at rovertym for the low cost fronts $160 plus the rear $150 you do the math, $310 plus the fact he doestn't have any listed for DII's yet, if you don't want them i don't really care but plenty of people have asked me for these after seeing my classic spacers, and the more people that want them the cheaper they will be

a set of 2 inch spacers would cost $285 for 4, material costsmoney that's why there more, you want a two inch lift out of EE's spacer's you need to buy 8 to acomplish that at 60 for two,you need two buy 4 sets
60X4=240, mine aren't much more and for the extra quality being CNC machined to match the spring perches shape, so it's not just a little block you stick in there, seems pretty fair to me

All joking aside. If you buy 4" Dia alum cut to 2", drill a couple holes for a half hour. You'll have exactly that, a "hack job". Definately cheaper than than $300. and they probably will work just fine, unless your anal about perpendicularity and overall height all matching within .005". But give him a break, he is selling a service, they are machined , not saw cut alum pucks. Also 4" dia cut to 2" @ $12.80 thats kinda high, I'll sell them to you for $10.00

If you compare Brians design and quality to the Rovertym ones I think his price is fair. Granted you can get them cheaper, and as he said, he can make them cheaper, but I think he wants to make some quality ones. Maybe it is overkill, I dont know, but for what he is making I think it is fair. Lets cut him some slack.

sorry dude, but i think the price is high too.

i source products and am currently waiting for a set of spacers, 2" lift for D1 and expect the price to be $200 for a full set including hardware. these spacers do have a shoulder for spring centering just like RTE and are not just a flat aluminum disc.

6" diameter 7075 CNC cut, black anodized, with steel plate for upper shock mounting included, as well as CAD plated grade 8 hardware.

RTE is overpriced and so is $300.

he is right about one thing, I dont have the dims for a D2 either, but if the diameter is 4", the price should be cheaper.

is there a call for other materials, like stainless? stainless may actually be cheaper.

Seems like springs would be cheaper and better?
