Location: Haverford, PA 19041, just outside of Philadelphia
Price: $8900.
Specifics: I am offering up my beloved ''Lucas'' for sale. This is the perfect vehicle to use for a trail rig. Epsom Green with Bahama Beige Leather interior, MANUAL SEATS (no electric motors to break!), no sunroofs (no leaks or squeaks to worry about!), Genuine CD Changer, Automatic Transmission. Approximately 90,300 miles. Newer Goodyear mud tires, newer brakes. Runs very well. All switches and windows work. This was my daily driver until last week. Clear title, no known accidents. SOME of the modifications include: Safari Gard Front Bumper with integrated skid plate & cad plated d-ring, SG differential guards, Fuel Tank Skid Plate, Adventure Roof Rack, Rear ladder, OME HDs springs all around, Warn Black Diamond XT shocks up front, Rancho 5000s in back, Rear Sway Bar removed, Rockware Sliders, 4 Hella 3000s on the Roof Rack, KC Daylighter rear lamp, Weatherproof CB, Genuine rubber floor mats & loadspace mat, TT in the front dif, Stainless Steel Brake lines, trailer wiring, Hi-Lift mount installed on roof rack. The driver's side rear quarter panel is pushed in... not from an accident, from an off-road oops! by my husband. Surprisingly few other body dings. Driver's seat squab leather is worn, but not torn. Interior has been drilled for various attachments... fire extinguisher, maglite, emergency escape hammer, machete. New head installed 14 months ago, engine completely cleaned up at that point. Engine & diffs have been run on synthetic for the past 3 years. I have always used premium fuel. Vehicle lived in Florida for first 4 years of its life, so there is minimal rust. Power steering has been seeping as long as I've owned the truck, but it's never posed any problems. Front wheel bearings have been replaced fairly recently. All maintenance was done on time (or ahead of schedule) with genuine parts. New serp belt. Large collection of Land Rover stickers from all over the world are all over vehicle glass and body. ABS unplugged. This truck has been reliable daily transportation for me for the last 4 years, and hopefully someone will be able to provide Lucas with a good new home!

Ron informs me I've left out quite a few things:
Lucas also has Rovertym HD trailing arms with new bushings, Rovertym drag link, Rovertym damper relocation kit, D90 track rod, Front Safari Gard Rock Guard, and upper rear lamp guards.

more info:

Front rotors and front and rear pads are new genuine(less than 3000 miles). Recent new Master Cylinder and battery. PS leak, slight oil pan seepage (top end of engine is completely leak free since valve job and new head $3000 worth of work done by best tech on the planet, new plugs done at that time and a new exhaust manifold too). Starts right up and runs like a top. Engine is very clean inside (outside it is covered in Mud), been on synthetic for quite a while, changed every 3k or sooner. Tires are at least 80% tread MTRs. Newish O2 sensors as well.

known issues: ABS disabled (feels like a sensor needs to be reseated, but I dislike ABS so it just got pulled, next owner is free to deal with it). Slight pull to the left under acceleration (why I don't know, but it is not too offensive since being alligned). SRS inop (again you are free to deal with it, could be battery related).

It is a good truck but it is modified and has been wheeled so it not exactly pleasant at 80mph on the highway and without sway bars it is a bit, . . . well it sways. Paint is scratched.

A rear locker and you could keep up with anything on the trail.

Ron (husband responsible for the dent)

PS no time to part out, have to study.

Clif, I won't be parting it out. I'm torn enough about selling it as it is. Lucas was my pride and joy for the past 4 years, and now that I'm no longer in college and work long hours (including EVERY Saturday), I don't have the time to take it off-road any more, which is what I built it to do. It really is a good truck, and I have had relatively few problems with it.

...and the blower motor twitches on and off on "4"

I thought that was a "standard feature for that model year" rather than an issue :-)

SOLD. What a sad day! I'm really going to miss Lucas. Purchaser saw ad on LRX, not on Dweb, but I will send a small donation.

That *was* quick... but even quicker was how I sold our 88 RR within 20 minutes of posting it.
At least it's going to a really good home. It's going to be used for competition & will be in the adventure team challenge next year. He doesn't even want to take off the stickers. Ron thinks I'm mentally ill, but I made him promise that it would continue to be named Lucas even after he buys it.
