2001 Genuine Land Rover Reciever Hitch Bicycle Rack

I purchased this just after my Disco II, and loved it. It has seperate locks for both the bikes and the hitch, and will hold 4 bikes. The whole rack mounts into your hitch reciever and on the passenger side lies a hinge to swing the carrier away from the rear door to open it, whilst another hinge keeps the bike from impacting the rear quarter panel of the vehicle.

It is made of heavy powder coated box section steel and is the most durable bike rack design I have ever seen.

This would be a great rack for someone who bikes a lot and needs a solid, reliable way to carry their bicycles to and fro.

The hinge is still streight, the powder coating is fine and there are no rust spots, only some very minor dustings of it in predictable places. The plastic scratch guard and closed cell foam pads are in fine condition.

If you are interested in it's purchase, I am asking for 200 Dollars (new, it would set you back about twice that much), and it can be picked up at my residance in Greenville, NC.

Please respond here if interested.

Cheers,

Kennith

David,

Yeah, I've seen them go for that much as well, I paid 450 dollars for this one. I also want to point out that I made a mistake in the listing, the vertical arm is made of tubular powder coated steel, wheres the frame and hinge is rectangular.

Cheers,

Kennith

Hey,

Yes, I still have it, and it will work on a D1, provided you have the tow hitch reciever. I appologise for my absence, I have been really busy for a few days. I will take some pictures tonight and try to get them sent off.

Cheers,

Kennith
