I have a 4.6 cam that was used for one dyno test. Also a brand new 4.0 cam. These are for non distributor engines. Also have the timing chain and lifters used in the test. |

what is a non distributor engine? Will it fit right in with no other modifications to my 4.0 97 D1? I was told it will improve the performance but i'm not sure. Cheers Jack |

Jack Non-distributor engines DON'T have a distributor in the front cover of the engine. They have a crank sensor in the back of the engine. Also I have a fixture for measuring the profiles of Rover cam lobes(but no spare time). So I can compare the two cams and give my opinion on the difference between 4.0 and 4.6 grind. Randall |
