I've seen the Hannibal rack/tent offering but it's really expensive. I was wondering if anyone had found a way to adapt a tent to their LR Adventure rack.

Thoughts?

Did you ever get in touch with Beau?

I have seen pictures around here of someone who simply put a regular two man tent up on top to sleep in. It wouldn't be like the hannibal deal where it is always up there and just folds out but it should get you up and out of the way of those pesky herds of lions roaming the plains of North America.

I laugh but they have recently killed three African lions roaming around the Ozarks here in Arkansas just a few miles north of where I live. No one know exactly where they came from.

Yeah, there is a licensed exotic game farmer in the near-by area, he says all his are accounted for but that someone came by a few months ago trying to sell him some lions. Either way there is some shady shit goin on somewhere.

Carter, if you come across any of those pics, please forward them. I'm mainly interested in just getting up off of the ground and out of either the wet stuff (like we have now) or, you know, scorpions and such.

Tripp, try searching through the "trail/events galleries", I want to say they were in there. Other than that just do like Garrett, make some kind of floor for the rack, measure it and go find a tent that will fit.

Carter-
If you have any news links to the three African lions found roaming around the Ozarks in Arkansas could you post them please? Just found that to be quite an interesting story.

I drive through the town of Quitman every time I go fishing on the little red, boy I would have loved to hit one of those things with my ARB (assuming it didn't mess it up). I wonder if Land Rover would have made me part of their advertising campaign???.... Oh wait all those cool ads are just a thing of the past now

Tripp,
Check out Erik Olsen's photo gallery. He shows a $30.00 TexSport tent on a plywood platform. He has a custom rack, but I am sure you could figure out something to fit your own rig. Erik, would you post some more info for us?
BOL,
Chris

Technitop rooftop tents.
Generally the tents are sold before they arrive meaning that we have a standing waiting period for Technitop rooftop tents.
I do however have one demo that came off a vehicle manufacturers showroom today. We are giving them a diffirent color one for January 2003.

Any takers for a late self indulging Christmas gift....

Can be shipped immediatly.

So how much weight is the actual roof of a Land Rover designed to withstand comfortably? How about the roof bars? Thanks.
