My little toy (Garmin III+) was stolen, and I prepare me to buy a new one. Since both G III+ and G V are available, but unfortunately not at the same price, i wanted to know if all data that I downloaded to my PC is direct recoverable by the GPS V. As I�m in Argentina, and the Map Source information is not soo rich for this region: think you that the new "Find" features would be useful in this case? Thank you |

I would be very surprised if the GPS V can't read GPS III+ data. The data format is not that complex anyway, the route and waypoint files are just simple delimited text files. Click picture to visit the store

I agree with axel. The V uses the same software and firmware but just has more memory for data storage so I would bet that it will. |

Thank you for your comments. And what about the new "Goto" features? I�m afraid that without map info the better features are lost... |
