"and jeremy, don't question our judgment. "

Lord Chung the almighty has spoken. What a joke!

It's a BBS for cying out loud, not a dictatorship. Ho, doesn't that sound just a wee bit like megalomania? Really, are you going to come to his house and take away his truck or shoot his wife? It's just a BBS. You can disable people at your leisure but "don't question our judgement" is a little silly.

If this gets me banned it's really no loss to you or me in the grand scheme of things because, in the end, it's just a bulletin board about trucks.

Rick

Rick,

If someone invites you in to their house for dinner, do you piss in their cornflakes as a way to say thanks?

This is NOT a public board; it is Ho, Axel, and Kyle's place... every single one of us is a guest.

These guys are good fellas... if you disagree with something regarding Rovers, or some off-topic something, you can banter all day with 'em...

But when it comes to running the place, they OWN the show, there are no two ways about it.... Peter pushed. Once Axel was done with it in the first thread, that should have been clear at that point. The second one was really testing the waters. The third time, he was shark-bait at that point.....

IMHO, FWIW.....

Also, FWIW, I'd hope to see the fella make up and come back, it's not like he was some off-the-wall troublemaker, he just pushed a bit too far, as I see it.....

Leslie, Like I posted, they can ban people all day long. It's their board. If someone pissed in my cornflakes I have the right to throw them out. I even get to choose whether I use the window or the door. :-) But unless I'm addressing my son or daughter I wouldn't try to tell them they aren't allowed to question my judgement. I don't even try that with my wife. That route leads to ice-picks getting shoved into your ear as you sleep. :-)

I'm only stating that the comment was way overboard. Like I said, "It's a BBS for cying out loud."

"This is NOT a public board; it is Ho, Axel, and Kyle's place... every single one of us is a guest. "

that's bullshit. really, think about it.

i don't have any real beef with these guys, but the attitudes they've portrayed here and the driveling 200 post flame wars were the end of this board IMO.

I've met a lot of cool people through this BBS, and now most of them rarely visit anymore.

word up to yo mama, end of discussion my ass - some of you folks need a reality check. Like get some fucking air already!

"I'm so skeeered!"

Yep, it's just a BBS, but it ain't no democracy, either. At least not when it comes to deciding how the site is run. Since it's no big deal, I guess you won't mind me disabling your profile too then, Rick?

Ok, who's next? :-)

I agree with Leslie in complete.
I may not agree with Kyle, Axel or Ho all the time or even on this type of matter but this is a private board and we are all guests and need to respect the decision of the moderators.

If I were to run a board, just like anyone else can do if you are unhappy with this one, I would expect that respect as well. We are all fortunate to have the privilege to use this board and need to realize that before you get arrogant!
Enough of the poor me attitudes. We are all adults here and we have all had as much as we can tolerate of these types of threads.

lol, hmmm..... if I was, hmmm.... I reckon I'd get so much done around here that there'd be nothing left to do at work, and I'd be let go... so, splitting my time between Dweb and work is really just job security!

It's kind like getting 86ed from the bar. People get beer muscles and web muscles just the same. There are a few people that you just shouldn't mouth off to.

Interesting chain of events that spreads through a couple of threads.

For me it's either DWEB or www.SpeedTv.com reading about Formula 1. I am with Leslie....If DWEB goes away, I might have to work a straight 8-10 hours a day. Damn the Horror Man, Damn the Horror!

"This is NOT a public board"
I don’t mean to be argumentative but,
this is by definition a public board. A private board is not accessible by the public (us) and generally has a password or something keeping people from getting to it. That said, peter deserved what he got.
And this whole thing make boring work days much more interesting :-)

Bite yer fucking tongue Evan!!

my .02 on all this.....
Theres a huge difference between hosting a BBS on Yahoo or Delphi or whatever, where all a host does is monitor posts, compared to guys that shell out mucho dinero to upgrade servers etc so the rest of us idjits can enjoy some good entertainment and "truck" knowledge. In the former, it's just a BBS, in the latter, you don't question judgement unless you want to pay for that right. I'm sure a 4 figure cash infusion might allow you to question some of the decisions of the holy trinity. I can't afford that, so I toe the line and watch my ass! (ya never know when evan might sneak up behind you!)

usually you can hear the floor creaking behind you Randy.
i still use the 'Yell and Tell' method to escape Evan's wrath.
why else do you think he keeps the doors off his series? so you don't hear him sneaking in the cabin after ya!!

First Lord Chung, and now the holy trinity...LOL :-)

Please bless my Rover and all it's seals, bearings, and especially the wiring. Please give my water pump and power steering pump the courage to continue working through difficult times. I ask your forgiveness for being hard on my stock axles last weekend, and I really appreciate your divine intervention when you kept my cv's in one piece after I cranked the wheels and hit the gas like I knew I shouldn't. With your grace, I will try to be a better wheeler. And one more thing, can you try to make the price of frickin' gas go down? Thank you. In the name of Axel, Kyle, and the Holy Ho...Amen.

pray

Gas prices?

Hey Blue, I paid $3.49/gallon to fill up the other day.

It's 65% taxes of course. We need to keep our elected leaders in the manner to which they have become accustomed. </sarcasm>

With the mad cow disaster exacerbated by our awesome Prime Minister no one pays attention to the bloody gas prices so away they go...
