Would it be possible in the future in the Technical Section to seperate of create a subsection that seperates D1's from D2's? For those of us with D2's and some of the issues that come up seem to have differing solutions than for those with D1's and vice versa. I just think that it would really differentiate and make D-web a more valuable tool. Look forward to seeing your response.

Kelly,

Once upon a time, I tried to talk the fellow over at LRX into doing something similar, and what became quickly apparent is that, it's not the segregation that would help, but, only if the visitors to the board would pay attention.

Some time, scroll through the "Series" board here, and see how many posts are made related to Discos....

If the D1 and D2 stuff were separated, then how many people with a D2 would not bother with a D1 and vice-versa, then, you'll find that you'll miss out on other valuable information....

When the D2 stuff first started popping up, I was one of the ones who was pretty annoyed with having to deal with D2 junk that wasn't applicable to a D1.... but, when I started paying attention to the stuff, I discovered that I'd learn a lot more about a D1 by paying attention to the D2 stuff, too. Example: if all we had were D1's, then I'd have not noticed just how important a CDL could be. By hearing about it from the D2 guys, then I better recognize its value. And the converse is probably true for you, if you think about it.

Also, consider how much is relevant to both vehicles. What about winch lines? Should the discussion be carried out on the D1 side, or the D2 side, when both would like to see it?

IMHO, it'd be better to keep the Discos all in the same pot. At least, through 2004.... Once the '05 gets here, well, maybe it'll need its own stable, like the Freelanders have....

FWIW....

And there you have it. There will be no separation of D1 and D2 at this time.

Can any RR3 owners tell me how I can get my RRC to run fully submerged for at least 15 seconds? :-)
