I think that you should have to be registered user to post on this board. If you are afraid to say your name then you shouldn't say it. People that post as "Anonymous" usual have nothing to say but crap and always try to drive down prices in the ads page. |

And I guess that bothers you? |

I find in funny that people get upset at the "anonymous" posts. As if giving a name means that is who they really are! If I sigend this post "Joe Blow" rather than "Anonymous" would it make a difference? Just my .01 cent.... |

yeah, I have to agree, if you have something to say why not put your name to it? It reminds me of my 'real' job as a truck driver listening to the CB radio.. Everyone is a tough guy, acting like a jerk because nobody knows who they are, hiding behind the anonymity of the CB. Although in all honesty anything I read that is signed 'anonymous' pretty much gets taken with a grain of salt, so who really cares? It is an interesting point though, I can see both sides. What do you say Ho? JMcD |

Well, even if you post as anonymous, you are not as anonymous as you think. Your ip address gets logged, so we can trace each post if we really wanted to. Remember the Tom Brindy incident last year? Axel |

my favorite was still the 'boys in the office' thread. that will go TLC's top ten list. true.....i am more willing to attempt to answer someones question if they post their name. but if they don't........their loss. i have very little respect for myself, so i always use my name regardless. |

If the posts on this board affect your life that much, anon or not, you probably should consider unpluging your computer and go outside to feed the squarels. |

the 'boys in the office' thread was just a monster of the thread that started with a group of LR guys in the DC area if i remember correctly. they decided to start bashing on us for reasons that have since slipped my memory. it just went on and on and on. it was damn funny......went as far as wanting to meet a fellow dweber at the mall. guess for a little 'who can punch the hardest' contest. is that still in the archives?? hard to explain........just went on forever!!!! good stuff though. they ultimately lost in the game of 'The Weakest Link'. |

nothing wrong with anon postings. I guess the original poster who had a problem with them might also be for registration of guns too. If somebody posts something that isn't in keeping with the board, then the board can remove. PLUS RN BBS has a password system and look what a flaming POS that BBS is. |

Ya, I think that was the thread that I started cause some body actually stole a Discoweb sticker off the side of my truck at the mall.. I was doing a "Can you believe some people on this planet would actually do that" rant and it went way down hill fast.. http://www.discoweb.org/archive2001/messages/1774/1880.html?993250855 |

Man, I just read that entire thread. What a riot. I wasn't around back them, but I sure wish I had been. What a joke. I wonder if some of the same morons are lurking? |

Incredibly funny thread with great quotes; "remove the stolen sticker with tin snips" "we haven't figured out how to make our sticker leak oil yet" Very nice! |

Hey Eric, thanks for bringing that thread back. Although I didn't join in on the fun last year, I did spend quite a bit of time LMAO reading those post last year as I just did now. I did however contributed on the "For Sale" section when some "Anon" posted a d-web sticker for sale. Those posts are definitely one of the classics . Glenn |

damn, forgot about that funny one. That thread is a good argument for keeping anonymous posting alive - it can make for good entertainment, and if you had to register, then I couldn't have been "girls on the playground" or "guys in my orifice" back there...hehehe I also think that was the first time I called Rob a loser...thank you reviving that special moment, Eric -Blue P.S. kiss my ass |

Jesus Eric, what a shit storm you started last summer, LOL! That was funny stuff, especially the quasi-intellectual nonsense. I like Blue's one-size-fits-all sign off. Garrett was in there scrappin' around, too funny. And Rob's a pokeman kid and not a card shark? Man Rob, on that point alone you MIGHT be a loser, LOL! Karen |

shit, people, don't make me go back and reread. i tried at lunch and got a headache. i dont know what it says about a card shark, but the pokemon sticker is alive and kicking. britney is still here too and now that she's of legal age it seems i'm one cool-ass trend-setting mother-flunker. rd |
