I have a 2003 DII, committed to SG for a Stage III, sliders, bumpers and a CDL activation. After discovering this site and reading about other peoples experiences (especially failures) I'm getting worried! Besides the customer service issues and the price schedule, doesn't anyone have any positive feedback on SG??? Please...

The logo looks nice :)

But price asside, I do like most of the rear bumper for the D2. If you get it with the skid plate. I don't like the way the receiver mounts and with the 2003 you'll have to figre out how to get a reverse light back in there and rear fogs if you want to keep those.

I have there front bumper and skid I love it price was way to much but I think it is the best looking bumper made.people on this board don't like them because of price and the fact that they are not boxed. I think of the 10% of rovers that see offroad less then .5% of those see the kind of abuse that people on this site put them through so in that asspect I think the bumper is great. I don't think I will ever test it to failur but I'm sure someone on this board has.

The SG rear bumper is not bad. Pricey, but not bad. Price is the main reason why I don't have one. I don't like the way their front bumper looks on the Disco, but that has more to do with personal taste than construction quality. I do think their front bumper looks good on a Defender, however. I do have their sliders, One got bent on Dusy Ershim, but in all fairness it bent up front where most sliders are weak. Considering the amount of abuse it took on that trip before it finally bent, I'd say the SG sliders will be fine for most people. Same goes for their Diff guards. My front one has a hole in it now from Dusy, but again, it took a lot of abuse, and protected the diff as it was designed to do. I ordered a replacement front diff guard from SG, and it was shipped and delivered on time, as promised.
The SG suspensions is a different story. Several people have had problems with those, and I personally I would stay away from that.
My 2 cents.

Before you get it done, take your truck out and learn what it can do in stock form.

I like their bumpers, and I have used them to push and drag myself over obstacles. I also have their sliders and diff guards, and they work for me.

I had an early Stage III, but I eventually changed it to suit my needs. It will take you a little time to get comfortable with after the mods, esp.. if you remove your sway bars.

They don't have the best customer service rep, but then again I have not really had any problems with them.

You should quit worrying and get it done.
