How does one go about reducing the pic size or color depth so that i may post a pic or two? |

Download this:
http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/gwspro.html
and then "scale" the image down to a smaller size.

Most scanners and digital cameras come with basic photo editing software, are you sure you don't have anything all ready?
