1) The latch mechanism seems to have a broken spring that refuses to keep the button fully up when the door is unlocked, preventing access. One can reach in and hold the button up and open the door from the outside, but otherwise it is impossible. Has anyone encountered this and have any idea where I can get a replacement spring WITHOUT buying a whole new mechanism? 2) The passenger side seat back does not respond to the switch mechanism, but the bottom adjustment works fine. Is it more likely the switch or the motor that I should check into? Is there a simple test? Is this a typical problem? Thanks in advance to all..... |

Problem # 2 is resolved, fuse needed to be replaced. Hopefully it is not a re-occuring problem. Problem #1...well, I pulled the inside panel back, couldn't figure out how to get it off completely, and from past experience I know better than to force it. Seems like the mechanism is just loose....couldn't see if there should be a spring that is missing, even checked the passenger side, only thing obvious is that it is much tighter. So I still need some help on this one....anyone know where I can get a diagram of the Drivers Door lock mechanism? Thanks in advance... |
