We are again offering this expedition to 70 degrees North in March 2003. The aim: driving to Tuktoyaktuk on the Frozen Mackenzie river and Beaufort sea up in the Canadian North West Territories.

We are starting the journey in White Horse and will end the journey again in White Horse 11 days later.

You can either ship your vehicle by rail to the start or join a unofficial convoy departing Vancouver March 18, 2003.

Your own vehicle. lots of driving and an experience to remember. We will have a minimum requirement for the vehicles.

For more contact [email protected]

I've wanted to go to Tuktoyaktuk ever since Molson held that Metallica concert there a decade ago...

Maybe someday.....

Could you post a little more detail on your plans and/or routes? I've been planning an Arctic trip with a crew of Rovers on the West Coast for about a year. Any info you could share would be both exciting to read and very helpful to our planning as well.

I checked out the website. www.offroadacademy.com. Looked pretty cool...
If not frozen. I too would love to go to the artic circle. However, there doesn't seem to be many roads on the east coast.

Hi Guy's
I am unfortunately on way to Africa again on another Safari (6th and final one of the year)I will send you the detailed info on the Arctic 2003 once I get home again. I will ask my partner to send you the updated info in to your e-mail address ASAP.
(I am sitting in a bussiness lounge of an Airline in Heathrow)
I have 6 hours to kill what a better way than to talk to fellow Disco owners and surf DISCO WEB...

All the info on the site is for the '02 year, what is the itinerary for the '03 trip? If there are any differences and pricing?

Thanks, Paul

I've been wanting to go since BEFORE they had that damn concert there and rauined the mystique of driving up that far. But that was in an FJ40 and ohhhhh so many years ago before they opened the road to Prudoe Bay (or wherever it is up north in Alaska). one of these days.

range rover wants to go now too, but i'm still 6 months from being ready, so well see if it all falls into plan. i might have to drive by and say hi...

Originally I wanted to go to Prudoe Bay but that was when the road was for company use only. Now, I think that is the furthest north "maintained" road you can drive, so sure, why not.

Jason, what do you have planned and is there any room for an extremely wishy washy father of a 1 year old and is wife? (wishy washy when it comes to being able to do this kind of trip with a kid)
