Anybody have any experience updating the drive train on an older 2-door chassis? Currently have '74 w/3.5 & 4-speed. Bad compression, blown clutch, and tired of rebuilding those zenith/stromburg carbs (hence bad compression?).
Could do complete drivetrain from Disco or D-90 but don't know about matchup of axles, mounts, wiring, etc. Lots of questions.
On the other hand I've been told by a couple of sources that the Disco (D1 at least) chassis is the same as the RRC. In theory it's a matter of lifting one body off and dropping the other on. Simple right? lol
Any advice before I send myself over the edge?
