Well Leslie got this going in the fly fishing thread but I figured it was a topic worthy of its own thread so here we go: every one post some of your favorite rover ads. Here are two of mine:

Other than those that I already posted in the other thread, hmmm........ I might have another or two on my computer at work, I'll have to look on Tuesday. I have, actually, the first Rover ad I ever found... it was a calender out of some magazine, that had a picture of a conniston green D90 SW running from a rhino.... I had that up over my desk in my office for a couple of years there in the geology dept at TTU when I was a TA... I'll see if I can find it and scan it. I also have a lot of National Geographics, which have some Rover ads (such as those other ones I posted). I'll see if I can find some different ones...... -L |

A friend of mine gave me a stack of Peterson's 4-Wheel Drive & Off-Road magazines ranging from 94-97 for me to page through. And I found probably 7 different rover ads. Mostly D90; I have the one you mentioned Leslie. And there were all the BFG Defender ads as well. Unfortunately they are all stapled to the wall in my garage/workshop and they would be pretty mangled by the time I got them down and scanned them. |

In case you can't read it, the ad says "AND TO THINK EVERYONE ELSE SPENT THE WEEKEND CLEANING THEIR CAR." |

LOL...that's a good one Carter. Pretty fitting. These are all really cool ads. I like the rhino one the best so far. James, if you see this, can you email it to me in its original scanned size to [email protected] ? Thanks. Anyone else want to trade ads, let me know. I've got 3 others like the one I posted for Discos. Hey Carter, how did you get your ads so large on here? They're larger and clearer than everyone elses? |
