After reading enough posts with people saying they've been here and there and darn near everywhere, I thought it would be fun to see where people on this board HAVEN'T been. So with that in mind, the contest is simple: 1. Pick a town in the US that has at least a few people and appears on maps that you've been to. 2. See if anyone has been there. 3. If someone has been there (honesty and trust required, sorta), they get to pick the next location. (see Rule 1) And on and on it goes until everyone gets sick of it. 4. Bonus points given if you've been there in a Rover. With that said, I pick the first location to be somewhat easy: Havre, Montana |

I've been to Havre (in a Rover) (lived in Miles City for 13 years!) and the next place is Holeyoke, Colorado. We used to play Havre in Junior high football...that was a hell of a bus ride there..definately better in a Rover this last summer! Justin Day |

Haven't been to Holeyoke, but it sure is fun to say. Been to Lynden. Quite possibly America's Friendlist Town® but in an X-Files something under the surface kinda way. They actually have an old lady who comes up to your house in a horse drawn Welcome Wagon to welcome you to the town when you move in. Come to think of it, my wife was in Lynden just 3 hours ago....in a minivan though. And it's true that you can't have drinking and dancing in the same place there. pwc |

JK, Peter, I was in the Navy with a guy from Lynden. His name is John Crawford. His father is the Fire Chief of Lynden. John is 5' 7" and his shoe size, are you ready for this? 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While we were over in the Med in '88, we were doing night time flight operations off our flight deck. We were landing a CH-53 (very, VERY large Helo) anyway, we had a helo on deck and the FDO (flight deck officer)decided to have a mock fire drill. LSS, John came up with a fire hose and his big ass feet were flappin' accross the flight deck and you could hear them even with the noise of the engines of helicopter. His nickname to this day is "Thumper". I know, been there done that.......... |

lol.... I've picked several places I could name, but I've been waiting for someone who's been to Holyoke CO to then pick a place that I've been, so that I could name one of 'em.... So, I guess the question is, what if someone names a place and no one else has been there?? -L |

I was meeeeerly commenting on your Lynden comment Jeremy. Currently the next spot is Holyoke, CO (which is more fun to say when you pronounce Colorado, Call-a-rad-e) Justin gets 5 points for picking a winning place. Now he has to pick an easy place he's been in a rover (to narrow it down a bit). How could noone have been to Holyoke?? It's got its own plate!! http://pages.tias.com/947/PictPage/1285492.html And that site takes Paypal Karen. pwc |

How about Roslyn, Washington where the show Northern Exposure was filmed. Had a beer at the Brick and met Janine Turner. |

Been to Roslyn. A college friend of my dad's actually owns the brew house just up the street. There is some great camping in that area. Oh, and I used to be a delivery driver for a place (Molbaks for the locals, this was 10 years ago) that Janine frequented quite a bit. I never saw her without a soft taco shoved in her mouth. Even delivered a few things out to her place. Nearly fell down the first time I went, she answered the door in a robe. Unfortunately she opened her mouth... man she was obnoxious. Ah, the stories I could tell from my driving days (Homes include - Bill Gates, Paul Allen, many Sonics/Seahawks/Marineers, Politicians, etc). The greatest guy I met was Harry from the show Night Court. Aweseome guy, now lives in Duvall, WA. And to get back on topic, another great camping site: Joyce, WA Todd |

Never been to Dismal Swamp, but I believe I have a song about returning there on a CD I just received for my birthday. Does that count? If so, how about Hog Eye, Ar. Bud |
