hey gang, my 88 RRC 3.5 has a rough idle (fluctuating between 1,000 & 4,000 rpm) and the faint smell of gasoline is evident after its been run for a while. i have done some keyword searches and am about to check vacuum lines/ stepper motor. any other suggestions? Thanks a million, Jon Santana |

Check/ replace the fuel filter. Maybe it's clogged and not delivering gas correctly at low rpms. Maybe only the higher rpms create enough pressure to pull the gas through. That might explain the gas smell as well. Only an idea |
