why would my toolbar "back" button suddenly stop working? it only happens on the discoweb site. i am running netscape 7.0 and i am a bit puzzled. it does not freeze up the entire browser, just the ability to go "back". also it does not happen all the time, just every once in a while. i cannot find any common reason why it would do this, it's very odd. has anyone else had the same experience? thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I have the same problem and only with Discoweb. I do not think netscape would be the problem if it only happens on 1 web site and no others.

Hey Carter-
Why would you suggest "ditching" Netscape? What's wrong with it and what would you install instead and why? Please be nice, I just came home from the doctor's office and my 3 year old has strep and chicken pox! It least I have a good excuse for having a pallet load of popsicles in the house.

I was just messing with you Snowman, I have had better luck with Internet Explorer than Netscape, it seemed like netscape got screwed up more often while trying to load a page but I don't know how much difference it really makes. I hope you kid gets feeling better, I still remember the chicken pox -boy did that suck. But Mmmmmmm, Popsicles :)

Carter-
Aside from a popsicle overdose I also get to watch "Shrek" over and over and over and over.......but gotta love that soundtrack!

Back to my original post, I lost my "back" button on another site today. I believe the gremlins have arrived!

Hmmm, lets see 3 years old isn't old enough to really appreciate Indiana Jones, Star Wars and stuff like that. Try watching Toy Story, its kid oriented but also has some humor reserved for older folks as well. You also might want to try 1/2 a bottle of Roubutussin about 20 minutes before kick-off. Good luck holding on to your sanity.

Oh yeah, have you tried the obvious stuff like uninstalling and then reinstalling Netscape??

Try Opera. It's FAST. IE is slow, Netscape can be picky.

Funny I was never much of an animation fan until Toy Story came out. I would imagine I have seen it about 30-40 times, great movie.

yeah, the sequel leaves quite a bit to be desired but the first one was pretty cool and I don't even like animation either.

I haven't tried 7, I'm still using 4.7, as 6 was too buggy. I use IE only when there's a site that I want to hit but can't with Navigator.... such as Nathan's site.

I just don't like IE, compared to Netscape, even putting up w/ the problems that some people's sites have.....

FWIW....

PS: FWIW, 4.7 doesn't seem to have problems w/ this site.... :)

I tried duplicating the problem on everything available:

IE4,5,and6 on Win98,Me,2K,XP Netscape4.6,6.2,7 on Win98,2K,XP, Konqueror3.04 on Linux, Mozilla1.01 on Linux, Opera on Linux, IE4 on Solaris. - Everything worked fine.

Perhaps something with your configurations?

Todd-
Geezum! that's quite the software selection available to you. Any suggestions on what configuration I should check or change? Thanks...
