This guy, and all the sites like this make me mad. He has no love for the land rover.
He even makes fun of my disco.

What you've got to understand is that these people by a 4wd vehicle and treat it like the family wagon. I will attest that during the last 5 years, my Discovery has had far fewer problems than my wifes Land Cruiser 80 (essentially, the same Lexus the gentleman recommends.)

Hi-
Without a doubt some people just not should not own a Land Rover. The only thing I agree with him on is that the dealer should make every effort to make it right or return the product. After many years working in small business I have found that it takes less effort to make a customer happy than try to fix a screw up later on. I am always lost when a business does not "get this" and I am treated poorly. Seriously I could go on and on about this subject because I was trained to please the customer as the #1 priority. My consistant motto is that no sales is complete until both party's are happy (Actually I got that from Zig Ziglar).

To each thier own, some people like them and some people don't. But I must say, for him to be that upset and then to mention he has owned 5......WTF how stupid is he ? I have owned cars that I have not liked before, but I wouldn't go and buy 4 more of the same brand. Don't worry thats the same guy that will be driving around in a 2002RR and complaining about it, he's obviously more concerned about what other people think about his car and what he's driving (prestige factor) than he's own opinion. Can we say DOOFUS !

I have had many a Rover and lover them all. Even LR is going to make a lemon once in a while. I'm just glad this fool got it and not me!
I have however heard many people complain about LR customer care.

It's the proverbial "my car is an appliance" mentality (i.e. I want my vehicle to run all the time with no maintenance and go from point A to B) and while he says he loves LR products I can't understand why. He's an idiot if he's so unhappy yet continues to buy them. He's definitely NOT an enthusiast!

The best description of an enthusiast was a quote I heard years ago (from I believe the president of the Alfa Romeo club in SoCal): "Paying someone else to work on your car is like paying some else to make love to your wife!" You would only do it when you don't have the "tools" or the "knowledge"!!

I can't say I've always been thrilled with my RRC but then NO relationship is every perfect! It's called a passion.
