How hard is it to change the belts on a 4.2 93 rr? i know they are not that expensive to purchace but they sure are expensive to have installed. 200 at the dealer. haw hard it it to install them myself? I have three v style belts air, steering, fan and one rib style belt to the alternator.

I had a 88RRC with convetional V belts. I assume you have the same. The only problem I had was getting the powersteering belt tight. The bolts that hold the pump in place are very difficult to reach, especially the back one near the block. That being said, if you can decently turn a wrench, give it a go.

I changed them when I did the water pump on my 93 4.2, don't remember the belts being a problem. The pump etc. was a bitch but that's another story! As John said, if you can turn a wrench, just do it!

I have an 88RRC and they were the easiest change I have ever had. Good luck
