Well, Rich Mtn was wild. I broke an axle, that is best we could tell. Did an on the trail removal of front driveshaft and came back out with RWD. Smashed the front passenger fender and lost the turn signal lens, again. Thanks to Will Roeder's father for the assist in crawling under that hot muddy rig of mine. Anyhow, on the way back out, the RRC leading the pack actually flipped onto it's side against an enbankment and kept cruising, only a dent in the front fender and some mud to show for it. Will Roeder had his rig past the 45 degrees on the Lev-O-Gauge after sliding into a V-Ditch. The photo here shows him previous to us running up to help push him away.. Anyhow.. more pics to come from the old school camera. Later..RS

Yes, it was a great day today, aside from the front axle/CV. No real damage to my truck, but had to pull the front drive shaft on the way home due to a U Joint that went south....
ill get some more pics up in a while...

I'll try and get my old school film developed today and post some more interesting pics tonight. That's all I snapped with the digital, I was too busy being stuck and reversing and re-approaching most of the time. Anyhow.. there ya go.

I guess if you did go over on the side in that deep V, the only thing to do would be to drag it the rest of the way? How would you get back up out of the V?

well i *sort of* did go over on my side...I have RTE sliders, and the truck was leaning on the step part of the slider, and my body panels(not much damage though)...but yea, i just drove it out dragging the side through the dirt+rocks

why didn't you just straddle the V, or avoid it altogether by going left?

Looks like some slip sliding action down into the V...

i was straddling the V. I was thinking about going left, but it was so slick i was afraid of sliding down all the way into the V. So, i figured my best bet was to straddle it.

I made it about 70% of the way, but it was super slick(combination of rain, mud, and wet leaves)...and my MTRs dont like the really slick stuff, and i just slid right down in there.

I here you about the MTRs. Got some nice slick mud while I was slowing down on a trail and slipped right off the trail side ways. Should have just got the swampers. Hoping for snow tomorrow so that I can see how the MTRs do in the snow.

I went left and the front right slid in that V, got the brushgaurd into the fender and turn signal. Will zigged after he saw me zag if I had to guess. It was slippery as..well, it was slippery, couldn't think of anything clever to say.
