AL long time no see, how ya doing? the snowy island?...must be talking about Upper Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula . yes they have snow allready I believe a couple feet but you should call and check to make sure.last year they ended up with like 275" . copper harbour has some good snowmobile trails I'v heard.my sledding is normally just riding out to ice fishing spots but my brother in law just bought a couple rockets so i might be doing some this year near our place in minoqua. in minoqua you can expect good trail conditions after the 1st of jan. here's a map of upper migh...the ski hill is in cooper harbour...it sits in the center of lake superior and gets more snow then ANYWHERE in the conti. US. thom

Thx Thom for the info, We usually rent a cabin in Powder Horn for a week and rent snowmobiles to hit the trails, but last year couldnt get enough snow for the trails. When you mentioned that the island gets more snow than the country, it is a good resort just incase of last years forecast. After checking out the website's for Copper city, i noticed more night life by the University. Thx Again cheers Alen |

Any wheeling areas that you know of? I'll be in The U.P mid January, let me know if you want to hang out wheel, snowmobile or hit the clubs. Cheers Alen |

lol...thats nothing? ron yes everybody knows buffalo gets alot of snow. but there is no comparison. this area is in the center of lake superior. it gets lake effect snow every day all winter long. not just when the conditions are right like Buffalo. here the conditions are alway right. the lake never cools enough to stop producing lake effect snow.
this place is really the place to go for snow or spectacular views of cold no mans land
