If so what part? I may be moving to Juneau or Anchorage if I get laid off from my job here and if some folks up there find me a job up there. Was wondering if there are any folks wheeling their Land Rovers up there. The only ones that I saw when I went to Juneau and Anchorage in the spring didn't look like they saw more then the local gravel roads. |

Eric: We had what we think was the first Disco in the state (REDRVR) in late 94, and lived in Fairbanks until 1999. We had to work hard to find places to go rovering in the interior. Between bottomless mud on the permafrost and the willows that reclaim old roads, there just weren't a whole lot of places, but we still managed to have fun. I know the Anchorage dealer runs events, so they should know some places. We moved to the eastern Sierra (Bishop, CA), and are back in heaven, with lots of places to go and things to see. Good luck - it's wonderful country. John |
