This sucks! Lucy's been in either the body shop or LR dealership non-stop for the past 4 weeks. I went to start up my mom's car today and waited too long, because it crapped out. Went to get the jumper cables out of the Disco and they were gone! They were kept in their carrying case in one of the back compartments and the worse thing is, my dog's collar (w/tags) and "special" leash were gone, too! I don't mind replacing the cables (an inconvenience), but the damned collar and leash are pissing me off.

So, anyone ever have anything disappear, besides change?!

Yeah I had a Honda some years back was in the shop for some body work and I left a hunting knife under the drivers seat. Needless to say it vanished. Oh well live and learn

I would definitely head back to the shop. A dog collar should have nill value to anyone. If the shop owner acts like he/she doesnt care tell them you are going to report the items stolen and call the animal control and let them know that the dog licence was stolen. I would give the shop the benifit of the doubt first and ask though. Sometimes they take stuff out and put it in a pile to clean the car and forget to put it in.. especially when they are doing body work.

I didn't think the collar would have any value, but then I started thinking about the pretty, supple leather, the silver studs, and envisioned some of those mechanics parading around in Montrose with it on!!!

LOL.............. Ole Montrose. You must be in Houston, TX. If you ever drop a dollar in Montrose, just keep on walking.......... you don't want to bend over and pick it up down there! :)

Haha, Greg, you're right! BTW, I think you replied to a post about getting a good Guiness and mentioned the Sidecar Pub. I checked out their website and plan on stopping by in the near future.

Yeah, it's not a bad place, although it isn't what it used to be. When I started going, it was more of a european style pub, but over the past years, the owners have gotten big into band and music promotion, so now it is a little different crowd and usually lots of live music.

They still have their good beer selection though.
