remember when that tree hugging group was putting stickers on SUVs that said something like "i am destroying a natural resource. i contacted tehm, i wanted one of their stickers to put on my Rover, they refused saying that if i wanted i could get them printed up myself. odd it seems i have to cough up some cash to vandalize my own truck.

Antisocial because we're taller than other vehicles??? Yeah, I can see that. I certainly wouldn't do a whole hell of allot of talking while putting a serious beating into your punk ass. Higher emmissions??? What about the oil burning V-dub busses and Volvos these fucking children are tooling around in from 'mission' to 'mission'?
Definately a rethinking of their tactics is in order. No arguement warrants the destruction of personal property. If they feel so strongly about their cause, they'd wait outside and confront SUV driving individuals upon their return to their vehicle with literature and a valid fucking arguement. Anyone have the statistics on the amount of emmissions from cow shit? Now that's something I'd stand for!
These are obviously misguided youth. All we can hope for is when these kids grow up and learn from their mistakes (whether it be jail time or my foot in their ass), they buy Land Rovers. |

There is a great argument to slap em down concerning the amount of pollution caused by one volcano eruption. I don't have the exact stats commited to memory at this point, but as I recall a single eruption produces almost as much polution as all of mankind, worldwide, does in a year. |

The statistic that I heard (I've got a copy of the paper around here somewhere) was that when Mt. Pinatubo went up in the Phillipines, it spewed more ash, gas, dirt, and other junk into the air than all of the polution humans produced in the industrial age.
As to the cows, last time I was in the states I ran into a bunch of wackos who were boycotting McDonalds because the beef that was raised for the hamburgers was causing global warming because of the methane gas coming from the cows.
My other favorite are the whacked out greenies that go out and spike trees so that some logger will get killed when they hit it with a chainsaw. Very understanding of them. |

I could see the headline now in CNN, "ACID RAGED BRITISH SUV DRIVER, SLAUGHTERS TREE HUGGER ACID TERRORIST WITH STEEL BUMPER!!!" Yeah, I don't see Land Rover putting that into a commercial.

That is exactly my point. Honda has a great commercial showing one its electric hybrids and a VW bus at a stop light. The slogan was something like, "Some people actually do something about the environment" |

Regarding cows emmisions. I read about a year ago in a science mag that we are now coming to undertand that the hole in the ozone is directly due to the methane produced by cows and NOT humans. I can't remember the exact number but it was something like one cow produces more methane in one year that the average vehicle in 5. |

All this vandalism and tree spiking gets filed under Eco-terrorism. Please notify the authorities (FBI or CSIS) It is a free country and while it is their right to make a point it is our right to not have our person or property be damaged.
It is not an issue that has been in the news much but chatting to my uncle (retired) and cousin (agent) who work for CSIS the anti-terrorism arm of the Canadian Govmt, it is a growing problem.
All you have to do is make a phone call with info, if we ignore this it will get out of hand real quick, and we have all seen that can happen.
The life you save may be your own. Loosening lug nuts and spiking trees isn't that far from spray painting SUV's and chasing off deer during hunting season.

Phillip, ELF was the group said to be resposable for the Vail building burn. They where also said to set another building on fire in another ski area this summer and it started a forest fire.
This all reminds me of these right wing "Christian" people who bomb abortion clinics to stop people from having abortions. Never mind they kill others in the process.
These kind of people are fucked up in the head and belong in an institution because they have no reasoning capabilities. |

The "I'm changing the environment" morons are at least pretty harmless...I'd still give em a good beating if I caught em, but these ELF assholes are dangerous. What gets me is that their tactics cause FAR more damage than that which they attempt to prevent. They burn houses to prevent urban sprawl. Well, that house is going to get rebuilt with MORE trees that they don't like us cutting down. As mentioned before spilling acid all over the place isn't exactly environmentally friendly, and the car won't be totaled, it's going to have some nice environmentally unfriendly paint put on it.
I think the best we can hope for is that they'll become so frustrated chasing their tails that they'll commit mass suicide to get their point across |

the only bumper sticker i have ever considered having on my vehicle said "SAVE THE PLANET,KILL YOURSELF".i bet there were no reports of a bicycle gang leaving the scene.but wait,bicycles require a factory,paint,etc.i bet there also were no reports of a gang of naked barefoot people leaving the scene.but there were reports of hypocritical non-working trust fund babies in the area.some people have no respect for others.so if they have no respect for others,they deserve no respect. |

For this reason alone I could justify having no respect for them. There was a bit on Fox News this afternoon about ELF and PETA. ELF has always been pro-violence, but apparently PETA is giving it a go too.

The thing that nobody realizes is that we are not destroying the Earth. Does anybody honestly think that we can "destroy" the Earth? We can destroy the atmosphere and make it so that humans cannot inhabit the planet but Earth will be here much longer than any of us will ever be populating this place. So when people say "Save the Planet" what they really mean is "Save the Human Race". When they kill people for their cause they're doing the exact opposite of what they are fighting for. |
