What Camel Trophy and non-CT LR videos can people recommend? What are the "best" ones to own? Also, has anyone seen the LR DVD for sale anywhere? I'm talking about the one the dealer uses that has multiple events on one disc, including TREK and CT events. |

Haven't seen any DVDs yet. IMHO, the best Land Rover video it the Discoweb Moab 2001 video. FWIW... -L |

Any of the CT videos with the 110s is great. I think Sulawesi was one of the best. The 1987 with the TD Range Rover is a particular favorite of mine. The first couple of Disco based ones aren't bad at all, and I have the 1994 version and its pretty entertaining. The newer the tapes get, the more they show the "lifestyle" and the less driving. The early tapes were done by a different company and are excellent for showing the driving and conditions. -P |

Speaking of the one the dealer shows (this is the only CT video I've ever seen) GOSH, they beat the hell out of those trucks! The part that I watched, two teams, each driving a disco, had to cross a river that was deeper than the truck was tall, so they tied a big rope to the front bumper, rolled up the windows, turned the motor off, swam across with the rope and pulled the bastard across. Sunk completely under in the process, but they pulled them out, started up and on they went. Crazy |

How would you rate the Discoweb video, Perrone? Is it up there with the CT videos, like some people say? |
