Paragon is a great place. Lots of variety in choice of trails from easy to hard. Now with the self guided group plan, you only need 3 trucks to go in on your own. At the moment, no camping at the park and the local campground is closed for the winter. There are lots of hotels in the area from cheap to expensive.

To my understanding, the only way you can go into Paragon is with one of their trail leaders, whom you have to pay. You need to organize your event around thier availability.

Never been there, just have a friend who goes and that's what he tells me.

Tom, Chris is right. You can now pay for a flag and as long as you have a group of three you can go self guided. But the trail guide is still an option for smaller groups.

I also believe that there is another camp ground in the area that is open. Not as close as the one that is closed but, if you want to camp I think that you still can.

Tom, your friend is out of date. LOL
They have had the non-guided policy for a little while now.

Paragon is near Hazleton Pa. It is a converted mining area of about 25,000 acres. It has just about every type of terrain from wooded, to sandy, hills, flats, water, streams, rock trails, you name it. $35 per truck, plus $5 for each passenger. 3 trucks for self guide, or go there the first weekend of the month and join up with the guided group. You have to buy a flag for $3 once only. Park closes at 4pm, so you have to be back in the parking lot before then. See the web page posted. We spent a day there recently and saw less than 25% of the park. It ain't pretty there, well it is in some places, but it's great off roading!
