I just replaced the battery on a 99' 4.6HSE. The computer is telling me that the windows are not set. Plus my remote is not working now. How do I reset the windows, my remote and anyhting else I might find? Thanks |

Start the vehicle. The Body Electrical Computer Modual (BECM) was powered down when you removed the battery. The limits for window travel are stored there. All you need do is actuate each window fully down and up and the BECM will be able to calibrate the settings for the travel limits. For the remote hold the lock button down and lock the vehicle by putting the key in the dirvers side door and turning it clockwise. Let go of the button turn the key back and remove it from the door. Then give the remote a go and see if its able to super lock the vehicle. Failing all this read the owners hand book. |

There is a bit of a trick to this. You have to hold the window in the closed position at the end of the travel. For the sunroof, it's back (fully open, then closed, then up fully, then closed, then hold). Finally to reset the remote, you need to place it in the ignition within 15 seconds of using it to unlock the door to reset via the transponder.
