Anybody think this is to good to be true? I would think be a NAS defender it would be hard to fake the number plate. Just curious if it's a scam.

Well, the VIN shows right on carfax and you can always ask for a copy of the registration to help prove things.

Nice, I was afraid it was going to be one of those shady '97 ones from Hawaii that get sold over and over again.

It's legit, but it also has 120,000 miles on the clock!

well if you really want a 110 then I would believe you want an expedition vehicle.

expedition class trucks need the once over no matter what the miles so give it the once over and be done . I'd bet that thing has 5 maybe 6 more laps around the globe in it even at 116000?

cool truck at any miles

I wonder how they put in the sunroof, whether it is a real Rover one and they changed out the headliner? From the description it sounds like it has had some repair work, but at that price probably a good deal.

Moot now, as a goose-egger who registered today just hit the BIN price. Hope they're legit for the seller's sake.

These guys, Steve and David, are for real. They have been by my place saveral times. They just love Defenders and these are all NAS vehicles.
I would gladly give them a reference.

David

I am in no way connected with them so the usual caveats apply

I would say that if Dave from Thatched Roof gives them the thumbs up, then they are good to go! Man I would love a 110, someday......

This is the one that intrigues me, it has an air cooled 4.0?

Also look at the URL, the ad says it was owned by a celebrity.

Apparently Jimmy has a thing for defenders I remember hearing someone say they had a D90 that was owned by him.

Muskyman,

LOL, you don't EVEN want to know!

Biggest bargain I ever missed on ebay was it's IPO. I KNEW I should buy, but I was too fiscally conservative. I've learned....

A guy in OK Rovers has the former Yellow D90 owned by JB.

"I've traced the history of my D-90, and found out that its first owner, was none other than Margaritaville himself, Jimmy Buffett!"

Jaime,

That's a nice looking 93! How did you mount the gas cans on the Brownchurch?

Thanks. ECR made a steel platform that holds 2 gas and 2 water cans. It has U bolts holding the front down and tabs that slip under the rack on the back. We also can mount a large propane tank on one side and carry just 1 gas and 1 water can on the other side. Its worked well and the cans don't slide around.

Yep, thats it. Good surfing. Although now with 235/85-16 tires the gearing needs changed. Out of the power band when running loaded especially at higher elevations.

I know the feeling. I'm running a stock 4.2, stock gears with 7.50R16 tires. At 8000ft this summer I was gasping for breath - 35mph in 3rd flat out. It was fun coming down though!
